Advertising
The problem with advertising on the Internet and abroad. We have all clicked on the advertisements that are free to join, free leads, everything is free. This is not true. There are free programs out there you just have to research them. You will often click on something that says free. I have done this on just about every free offer I get. The problem is it's free to sign up, but you have to upgrade the product to get anywhere, now they are asking for money. This has happened multiple times, which leads me to believe that false advertising is encouraged on the web. Here is an example: I found a website that sells animal supplies, on this site they guaranteed lowest prices on the web, not only that but they also stated that if you find it cheaper they will price match. I did my research and found another animal supply place selling the same product for $40.00 cheaper. I then contacted the company and let them know what the site was were I was finding it cheaper. I provided them with that information, the customer service rep informed me that they couldn't price match with the lower costing product from a different company. I then asked the customer service rep. why? The response was the site you are getting a cheaper price from isn't FDA or EPA approved. Now that sounds like a legitimate answer if you the customer doesn't understand. What she failed to realize is I did understand what she was saying and questioned it. Why did I question it? Because in order to get the product I was calling about you have to be FDA and EPA approved to even carry the product in your establishment. I then said you are false advertising to the public about your guarantees. Here is why they get away with that. Advertisements are very well worded. For example sign up today it don't cost a dime. Here is the catch it's absolutely free to put your information into the system, however it will cost you to purchase the program. Further more when you fill out the "FREE" sign up form your name gets generated to different companies and now you are stuck getting telemarketing phone calls from 20 different programs that you have no knowledge of signing up for, because you filled out the "FREE" form. Here is another scenerio: No money to start, this is often a 7-14 day trial period where you can try the program for the period of time and if you don't like it your under no obligation to continue. Here the catch, most of these programs take 7-10 businesss days to get to you. Whats that mean? By the time you get the progam your trial period is up and now you are charged for the program that you have not yet reviewed. Some businesses require a degree to bullshit someone into buying your product or service. What happened to ligitimate advertising, instead of all the little wording to get around the flaws in the product or servie. I on the other hand don't have a degree in bullshit(advertising) and would like to keep my business honest.

I just caught a real good not false, but very well worded. I was looking for a wholesale affliction distributor and I thought I found one, but this is how I caught it. The advertisement said affliction t-shirts so I looked and again read the description and it also says affliction t-shirts. Well we all know affliction brand shirts are comfortable and show cool designs. To the untrained eye you would buy these shirts for $15.00 in a heartbeat because the affliction brand sells for anywhere from $50.00 to $125.00. But the actual product was a t-shirt with the affliction photos on it. Join me on this blog and tell me some of your stories about false advertising.
